Description

We are recruiting a Housing Liaison Officer to join a team that delivers a high-quality, consistent, flexible, value-for-money comprehensive service to tenants. This includes new tenancies and tenancy changes, interviewing service users, and dealing with general enquiries.

Responsibility

As part of our team, you will be responsible for tenancy management duties and will be visible to residents on our estates. We are committed to ensuring that tenants are well cared for, neighbourhoods are clean and safe, and resident satisfaction is high, providing a supportive and secure environment for all.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Housing qualifications and evidence of continued professional development.
  • Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.

  • Ability to communicate with people in a friendly and courteous manner in person and over telephone.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and external parties.
  • Ability to work without supervision or to act independently when managerial direction is limited and adopt a flexible and innovative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, including persuasion and negotiating skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, mediation, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, spoken with good telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
  • Resilience and tact are needed to maintain the confidence of all parties involved in a complaint.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure, to use initiative, prioritise work and meet competing deadlines and targets.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to manage & prioritise own workload
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage complex and often conflicting issues
  • The ability to work successfully as part of a team.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and explanation of technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • A clear understanding of and commitment to maintaining confidentiality are needed.
  • Able to establish a positive relationship with customers through good interpersonal skills.
  • Safeguarding (Adults and/or Children as required)
  • You should have practical communication skills in various media and be able to communicate effectively with customers at all levels.

Essential Compliance Requirements

  • 3 Years of References
  • Enhanced DBS is required for this role.
  • A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role. Please be prepared for this additional step in the application process.
