We are recruiting three experienced Senior Business Support Officers to provide high-quality administrative and clerical support within Children’s Social Care. This is an excellent opportunity for organised, customer-focused professionals who can manage complex workloads, maintain accurate records and support colleagues in a busy public-sector environment.
Working ArrangementThis is a hybrid role with 60% office attendance on a rota basis. Flexibility to attend occasional evening meetings or work outside normal office hours may be required to meet service deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver efficient, customer-focused administrative and clerical support to the Children’s Social Care workforce.
- Complete routine and complex business support tasks accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Maintain, review and improve data, records and information systems in response to changing service needs.
- Research information and produce accurate reports and management information in a range of formats.
- Handle sensitive, confidential and occasionally contentious information with discretion.
- Support projects and liaise effectively with internal teams, partner organisations and statutory and non-statutory agencies.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring and support to Business Support Officers.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering a comprehensive administrative service to agreed performance standards.
- Strong experience in prioritising competing workloads and meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
- Excellent ICT skills, including Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
- Confidence using business systems; experience with LCS or EHM would be advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong numeracy and customer-care abilities.
- Experience of supporting, mentoring or training colleagues.
- Sound knowledge of data protection, confidentiality, financial procedures, workplace health and safety, and equal opportunities.
- A good standard of general education.
