Description

Our local government clients in East London require an Early Years Entitlement Funding, Payments and Monitoring Officer. We are looking for someone to handle the financial payments for free childcare entitlement schemes for two-, three-, and four-year-olds, as well as the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP), Disability Access Fund (DAF), and Inclusion funding.

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

Produce a range of financial and performance information relating to monitoring early education and childcare targets, including those required for internal and external evaluation. Communicate with and provide support around early entitlement funding to early years providers across the sector, including schools, Private Voluntary and Independent providers and Childminders.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media and CRM.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Evaluated at the Shortlisting Stage.

  • 3 years' experience in a performance management/ information analysis setting or financial management
  • Experience of performance management within a large organisation, including target setting, performance indicator monitoring and service improvement.
  • Using spreadsheets and databases to manipulate data and produce user-friendly management information.
  • Experience in interpreting central Government policy for a local context.
  • Collating and digesting complex data from a variety of sources to produce timely, accurate management reports.
  • Experience of working with schools and the community of voluntary sector providers.
  • Knowledge of free entitlement for 2,3- & 4-year-olds.
  • A working knowledge of carrying out audits.
  • Wide range of well-developed ICT skills, particularly in the use of databases and spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of performance management issues within a large organisation.
  • Project management skills – the ability to coordinate projects, including significant data/intelligence returns to the central Government.
  • Good working knowledge of databases and accounting systems.
