An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Children's Centre Worker; to assist in the planning, delivering and evaluating community and centre-based activities that support young children's learning, development and health, ensuring consistency of high-quality provision:
Responsibility
To be responsible for assisting in the planning and delivering of appropriate activities that are conducive to supporting the learning and development of young children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage:
Qualification – Essential
· Educated to GCSE standard - or an equivalent qualification
· NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in early years education and childcare
· First Aid Trained / Paediatric First Aid
· Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Social Media
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – both orally and in writing
· Ability to lead in the development and delivery of universal and targeted services for
children and their families
· Demonstrable understanding of Customer Care Standards and ensure that put the
residents first
· Able to plan and deliver appropriate activities conducive to supporting the learning and
development of young children in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage
· Ensure all Children's Centre activities are set up with appropriate toys and equipment
before each session begins
· Must ensure a risk assessment is completed and updated regularly
· Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection policy
· Understanding of the procedure to report any concerns about children
· Ability to assess and evaluate family needs identifying appropriate services to meet that
need
· Able to deliver a service that is sensitive to the needs of the children, parents and carers
from different social and cultural backgrounds
· Provide a warm, welcoming environment to both children and parent/carers to forge
strong working relationships
· Able to support the children with their individual care needs, e.g. feeding, toileting as
appropriate and by centre policies
· ensure data is collected and recorded in line with GDPR and information sharing
procedures as required
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of References
· Enhanced DBS
· Mandatory pre-employment screening – essential
