Our local government clients in Hackney, Greater London, are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Teacher to join our Early Years & Play team. This is a pivotal role in which you will champion high-quality care and education for children aged 0 to 5, ensuring they receive the best possible start in life.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating an attractive, well-maintained environment that allows children to feel relaxed, motivated to explore, and independent. Furthermore, you will support the development of the Centre as a Community resource, ensuring that services are provided in accordance with our commitment to high-quality service provision
Qualifications – Essential
- GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media and CRM.
Criteria for Shortlisting - About You - What We're Looking for in the Ideal Candidate:
- We are looking for a candidate who is committed to valuing diversity and challenging discriminatory actions
- You must have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, as well as the ability to write clearly and succinctly.
- Must have post-qualifying experience in teaching 3–5-year-olds.
- Strong knowledge of how children learn in the early years and child development from birth to 5 years
- Understand strategies to support positive behaviour.
- The ability to ensure that all children with Special Needs gain full access to the curriculum.
- Must be able to work outside normal office hours and occasionally take on other duties as demanded by the service.

- Willing to engage in the Pre-Engagement Questionnaire and mandatory pre-screening application process.
