Our local government clients are recruiting a Brokerage Officer. The team is responsible for sourcing care packages and placements for vulnerable adults and children. As a Brokerage Officer, you will source services, run tender offers, and consider options and resources creatively to ensure best value and customer-centred packages of care are successfully sourced. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure that brokerage activity meets their needs and corporate requirements.

You will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure that brokerage activity meets their needs and corporate requirements.  We are looking for a candidate who thrives in a high-pressure environment and can prioritise and coordinate workloads. Proven proficiency in utilising IT tools, such as Microsoft Excel, is essential.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • HNC or NVQ level 4 in a relevant profession, or equivalent experience/skills.
  • Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media and CRM.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Evaluated at the Shortlisting Stage.

  • High level of relevant and practical experience acquired on the job.
  • An advanced understanding of relevant procedures and working practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of specialist functions relevant to the service area.
  • Excellent ICT skills, including the use of Microsoft applications and specialist systems
  • Experience in showing tact and diplomacy to deal with conflicting requirements or opinions
  • The ability to make decisions on the most appropriate action to reach an acceptable conclusion.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse statistical and numerical data, concluding the data to inform decision-making.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workloads and achieve deadlines.
  • Budget monitoring/ financial processing at an appropriate level for the role.
  • Ability to produce business-focused, user-friendly reports, policy and project documents where appropriate.
