Our local government clients are recruiting a Service Coordinator to assist the management team in delivering services and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations, company policies, and procedures.

Responsibility

Act as Shift Lead for a specified period, as needed for operational purposes. Ensure that activities are delivered following the plan. First point of call for emergent issues, ensuring escalation to Management when required.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Health and Social Care Qualification at level 2 or equivalent
  • Desirable - Health and Social Care Qualification at level 3 or equivalent
  • Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Social Media, and CRM.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience Requirements - Criteria to be Evaluated at the Shortlisting Stage.

Successful candidates will have:

  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality standards and company requirements.
  • Knowledge of person-centred approaches and delivery of care and support in community-based settings.
  • Specialist equipment health and safety awareness.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Understanding of the company's activities and objectives, as well as a good sense of its wider strategic plans, both current and future.
  • Working to set challenging but achievable targets.
  • Build relationships with customers to identify key issues and anticipate their requirements.
  • Acting as a customer champion within the company.
  • Advanced IT literate.
  • Display and model positive attitudes to equality and diversity.
  • Ability to work with other professionals/service users/carers/families and promote partnership working.
  • Ability to write reports and maintain records.
  • Understanding of the role of support in a social care setting.
  • Desirable - Ability to work with people with complex needs.
  • Desirable - Experience in delivering direct personal care requirements.
  • Desirable - Previous experience of working in social care in the private, voluntary and charity sector.
  • Ability to travel for work from various locations.
  • On occasion, able to work outside traditional hours, at weekends and evenings as required, adopting a flexible working approach in response to business requirements

Essential Compliance Requirements

  • 5 years' reference including current employment
  • An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role
  • A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
