Description

We are recruiting a Process and Data Administrator for a local government client in Northwest London. To strengthen financial decision-making and governance and commissioning across the division. Understand the current position and projected outturn of the SEN Budgets and report to the Head of Service and the finance departments when required.  To monitor the expenditure within the High Needs Funding block on school top-ups, College and ISP charges and Independent and Non-Maintained Special School fees. To ensure systems are in place to track funding agreements with service providers to check that payment requests are approved and accurate.

Responsibility

To draft the High Needs Funding budgets annually for review by the Head of SEND. To allocate top-up funding bands to early education settings, schools, sixth form and further education, colleges as appropriate and consistent with the established procedures for the delegation/allocation of High Needs funding to settings and by Panel decisions; including the production of termly schedules to support schools with the management of their SEN Finances.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English
  • Level 3/4 NVQ in business & Finance Administration or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting.

  • Experience of managing/delivering a range of administrative functions and systems in a multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience working in a finance office and creating and reconciling financial journals.
  • Experience Working with members of the public in a customer service role.
  • Experience of working with budgets and payment processes.
  • Experience of analysis and interpretation of data sets.
  • Ability to work within a changing and challenging environment.
  • Experience supporting finance and Service Staff Using Agresso.
  • Ability to work within strict statutory timescales.
  • Ability to work within a confidential environment.
  • Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and the issues arising from support for such pupils.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage workload, excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team; excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop effective collaborative working relationships with colleagues, including external professionals.
  • Sensitivity and discretion.
  • Helpful, courteous and professional attitude towards parents and professionals.
  • The ability to manage potentially stressful interpersonal situations.
  • Demonstrate a day-to-day commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
  • IT literate and willing to undertake further training as required.
  • Ability and desire to learn and develop within the role
