Senior Residential Care Worker- Adults

Description

We are looking to recruit residential care workers to work as part of a team within residential homes and day centre settings. The key aim is to support people with high levels of dependency or complex needs and enable every customer to be engaged in their local community to the best of their ability.  

Responsibility

This role is to encourage and stimulate customers by providing outcome-based care. Promoting independence and community engagement enables them to develop and maintain daily living skills and to attend to their physical, social, mental and emotional needs, ensuring comfort, safety and wellbeing:

Qualification – Essential

• GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in a similar role.
• Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.

Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience

• Willing to work in a care setting and with people who have a disability or with vulnerable customers
• Some experience in running group activities.
• Ability to interpret information and redirect it to the appropriate person to provide a quick and accurate resolution.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, providing clear and concise advice and guidance to various customers.
• Demonstrating literacy and numeracy skills to record and document activities in the care plan.
• Able to deal appropriately with challenging behaviour from service users and respond sensitively to their families and carers.
• Ability to build relationships with people from various cultural, religious and ethnic backgrounds.
• Ability to work as part of a team, completing shared tasks to deliver a service to others.
• Good agility and coordination skills are necessary to provide personal care, operate equipment and demonstrate activities.
• Able to encourage and support people to do things for themselves.
• Willing to work, day or night shite or a rota.
• Willing to work with the children and provide training, support and supervision.

Essential Compliance Requirements

• Five Years of Reference.
• Enhanced DBS Checks are required for the role.
• A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
