- Our client in Central London is recruiting a Rough Sleeper Resettlement Worker - To be part of a team environment working closely with those affected by rough sleeping. You will carry out comprehensive assessments of people new to or at risk of rough sleeping and provide a personalised case management service, turning assessment recommendations into practical action plans which fully involve the client:
Responsibility
To provide waking support, take responsibility for all safety and security while on shift. First contact support for new rough sleepers and swift assessment of their support needs to ensure they meet the criteria:
Qualification – Essential:
· GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
· Good level of education or equivalent experience
· Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
· Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Essential Skills, Abilities & Experience:
· Ability to assess, design, plan, and implement Resettlement and Personal Housing Plans.
· Ability to ensure all aspects of casework are carried out following relevant legislation,
strategies, policies and initiatives set.
· Ability to establish, develop and sustain effective working relationships with service users
and partners.
· Have care and homelessness experience and sustaining tenancies experience ideally.
· Experience working in a Hostels environment
· Good knowledge of welfare, housing and homelessness policy, strategies, legislation, and
case law and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service,
· Experience in working in onsite temporary accommodation.
· Ability to ensure service users’ documentation is relevant and updated and that data is
accurately entered into the various IT systems.
· Good knowledge of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Social Care and Equality policies and
strategies
· Ability to constantly achieve performance targets and objectives.
· Experience in working with and assisting people who have experienced street
homelessness.
· Experience working collaboratively to develop and deliver Resettlement and Personal
Housing Plans.
· Able to work Mon – Fri 08:00 – 16:00 early shift / 12:00 -8:00 pm late shift – no weekend
worming & no bank holiday working.
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
· Enhanced DBS required
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
