We are recruiting a Facilities Site and Support Services Manager:- To be responsible for the provision of corporate facilities support services across the operational estate to physical and virtual customer bases:
Responsibilities
To ensure the safe and smooth operation of the site, taking the operational lead on ensuring that the Centre is well managed by following the relevant legislation, regulations and corporate quality standards:
Qualification:
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· Appropriate management training/qualification or
· Equivalent has proven work experience
· Advanced user –Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, social media, and CRM:
Essential – Skills & Experience
· Appropriate experience and proven expertise in a facilities management/mayoral setting.
· Excellent communication skills include writing clear and concise reports and being an
effective public speaker.
· Ability to operate effectively under pressure,
· Innovative but also concerned about detail and finishing.
· Proven ability to work on own initiative, with a minimum of supervision
· Ability to interpret legislative requirements and implement changes where required
· Advanced IT literate to a high level.
· Ability to work with a wide range of information and data to produce meaningful
management information
· Proven presentational skills apply to a variety of audiences.
· Ability to plan, organise and use resources effectively.
· Ability to manage systems for the supervision of staff and their development
· A comprehensive knowledge of facilities management and mayoral services
· Knowledge of contract and financial control procedures in the facilities management area
· An understanding of health and safety legislation and contract law- essential
· Proven experience managing staff, projects and budgets in a facilities management
environment
· Demonstrated the ability to deliver results against targets
· Proven experience in managing a campus site
· Experience in working in the public and commercial sector
· Full driving licence and provide a vehicle for site visits and emergencies
· Be prepared to work flexibly to meet the necessities of the service.
· Ability to work outside of regular hours, often at short notice and across weekend periods
as required
