We are recruiting a Facilities Manager to take responsibility for three main centres, including day to day appearance of the centres, and leading a responsive Team to ensure the effective running of our facilities:
Responsibilities
Responsible for all day-to-day running of the premises managed, including maintenance, security, health and safety, insurance/risk assessment and all facilities management:
Qualification:
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· ONC/OND or equal in relevant areas
· Health & Safety Qualification
· First Aid Qualification
· Advanced user –Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, social media, and CRM:
Essential – Skills & Experience
· Detailed knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
· Solid management experience and a strong track record of effectively leading a team.
· Significant experience in managing a diverse portfolio of substantial buildings
· Understanding of building maintenance, building practice, and building alterations
· Considerable knowledge of working in a caretaking or facilities post, undertaking the care
and maintenance of premises
· Significant experience in minor maintenance works
· Experience in overseeing the work of contractors
· Experience in administrative tasks and record keeping.
· Experience in managing budgets.
· Knowledge of procurement and purchasing of furniture and equipment.
· Demonstrable experience as principal key holder, controlling key sites, including the
routine and non-routine opening as required.
· Able to contribute to the tendering and contract monitoring procedures for facilities.
· Proven experience in compliance with all Health and Safety regulations regarding safety,
security, cleacleanliness, and maintenance.
· Good experience in the organisation of workload and time management.
· Establish skills in problem-solving and managing queries and issues that may arise.
· Must have a high standard of both verbal and written communication.
· Advanced IT, including Office 365 and associated applications.
· Must be able to work on initiative and be part of the team.
· Ability to build positive rapport and relationships with student staff and stakeholders.
· Understanding of Safeguarding Legislation and its application within the educational
sector
