We are recruiting a Project Manager: - To undertake the role of Project Manager as part of the children and Young People Transformation & Improvement Programme. As part of a dedicated team working with the Service Area and others:
Responsibility
Required to project managed all projects allocated by the Programme Manager. Responsible for the successful delivery of significant, often complex, projects that will help deliver the outcomes detailed in the Corporate Plan:
Qualification – Essential
· Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
· Degree or equivalent professional experience and
· A recognised qualification in project management, APMP Project
ManagementQualification
· Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media:
Critical - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Experience in managing projects in a public sector environment, including drafting
business cases, project briefs and other project documentation
· Experience in planning project activities, estimating resource needs and monitoring
progress against the Plan.
· Experience working effectively with various multi-disciplinary teams, senior managers,
and partner organisations.
· Experience using Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and
Project planning tools to a good standard.
· Detailed knowledge of project management approaches.
· Good organisational skills - Able to plan and manage own time, balancing competing
demands to ensure objectives and deadlines are met.
· Self-motivated and able to motivate others to meet individual and collective goals.
· Excellent written and communication skills.
· Practical interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate solutions in a challenging
environment.
· Be able to work with others and contribute to building a solid team.
· Experience in stakeholder management, including the public, and conducting
the consultation.
· Experience in managing project budgets in a public sector environment.
· A good understanding of Children's and Adults' Social Care issues in a public sector
environment.
· Knowledge and understanding of procurement and commissioning in a social care
context.
· Adopts a can-do attitude by identifying problems/issues and finding solutions.
