We are recruiting a ServiceManager, Safeguarding & Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLs), to carry out strategic activities to ensure the business's statutory Safeguarding Adults' responsibilities and duties are followed. With experience in working closely with our Adult Social Care operational team and key partners:
Responsibility
To the development and implementation of the multi-agency safeguarding adults, MCA and DoLS training strategy and programme for staff in our Directorate, organisations and providers in the borough, including learning from Safeguarding Adults Reviews, Leder, DHRs, Children's Safeguarding Reviews, learning reviews and case file audits:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
· Professional qualification in Social Work or
· Diploma in Social Work, BA/BSc/MA in Social Work, CQSW as required by Social Work
England
· Advanced Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM and Social Media
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Solid understanding of adult community care activity concerning statutory, voluntary or
private social care sector
· Ability to develop and implementation of the multi-agency safeguarding adults, MCA and
DoLS training strategy and programme for staff
· Experience in completing learning reviews and case file audits
· Experience in Leder, DHRs, and Children's Safeguarding Reviews
· Knowledge of safeguarding adult governance arrangements
· Knowledge of practice and policy development, data performance improvements and
submissions
· Experience in completing management of organisational abuse enquiries and Person in a
Position of Trust functions
· Able to take responsibility for ensuring the statutory duties under Dols are followed
· Able to manage a workload to agreed targets and able to use initiative and work without
direct supervision
· Experience in statutory requirements, respect for carers, equality and anti-discrimination
legislation, maintaining a safe working environment, data protection and confidentiality
· Experience in inter-agency collaboration practice
· Experience in undertaking safeguarding investigations
· Ability to use persuasion, influencing and negotiation techniques to influence others
· Effective time management and planning skills to meet deadlines
· Ability to undertake reassessments and review care pathways as required
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Five Years of Reference
· DBS - Enhanced
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
