We are recruiting a Contact Supervisor to provide high-quality, child-focused, safe contact service for children and their families/carers. We encourage and enable parents to practise safe and effective parenting skills:
Responsibility
To provide support in contact to children in need of protection, ensuring a provision of services that safeguard and enable children to maximise their potential and enhance their identity:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or Play Work, NNEB, or equivalent
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Mediate and CRM:
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Ability to set up and provide supervised contact between children and their families/
carers
· Experience in working with children in need of support and protection
· Ability to maintain records of interactions, child protection concerns and health and safety
issues
· To promote, encourage and enable parents to follow safe and effective parenting skills
· Ability to ensure that individual outcomes identified are achieved
· Experience in undertaking contact work
· Sound recording and report writing skills
· Experience in supporting families to progress to independent contact within the
community
· Experience in direct work with children
· Ability to collaborate with internal and external agencies and all stakeholders
· Ability to participate in the development of new initiatives
· Proven knowledge of relevant childcare practices, legislation and research
· Experience in the theory and practice of child development
· Ability to develop networks across teams and services to achieve the best outcomes
· Ability to seek regular internal and external feedback from service users
· Good understanding of safeguarding procedures and processes
· Ability to work well under pressure and in situations that may become challenging
· Work flexibly to meet competing needs and demands
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing to a wide range of people
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Five Years of Reference
· DBS - Enhanced
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
