We are recruiting a Senior Development Manager to help shape and deliver critical construction projects to support the business Growth and Sustainability Strategy, ensuring full compliance with the relevant business constitution regarding procurement, land and property transactions:
Responsibility
To lead the project team to ensure that the project is achieved following the business project management toolkit and that all delivery risk is managed and mitigated as far as possible.
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· MSc in Urban Regeneration
· PRINCE2 or equivalent project and programme management
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media:
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Deep experience in project and programme management
· Able to demonstrate knowledge in the development industry, leading and transacting
complex deal structures (Critical)
· Outstanding ability to pro-actively build relationships in dealing with key stakeholders (Critical)
· Experience in managing a cost-effective service and delivery (Critical)
· Knowledge of managing large development budgets (Critical)
· Strong leadership abilities (Critical)
· Proven ability to assess risk and delivery of projects within a risk framework whilst not
being risk-averse (Critical)
· Experiencing in managing projects and successful completion these projects
· Experience in the development of high-quality and robust business cases
· Experience in managing a team to the completion of projects
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Demonstrate a capacity to develop strong working relationships with internal and external
stakeholders
· Solid experience in managing staff on a project basis
· Solid experience working closely with the procurement team to oversee all relevant
procurement activity
· Able to provide clear leadership to the project team managing the delivery of the project
· Knowledge in Identifying, commissioning, and managing external consultancies such as
mechanical & electrical engineers, valuation, building control and business case
modelling
