We are recruiting an Electrician to deliver an innovative, efficient and flexible service that is customer-focused, compliant, and sustains high levels of excellence and quality, working efficiently to provide value for money.
Responsibility
Organise and carry out the design, installation, maintenance, testing and repair work for the business’s managed properties, housing stock and external customers, following agreed targets and procedures; ensuring services are compliant with relevant legislation and regulations
Qualification – Essential
· 3 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (18th edition qualification preferred)
· NVQ or equivalent qualification
· Five years of experience in social housing
· Full Driving Licence
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook,
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Excellent knowledge of certification paperwork and fault finding
· Experience in the use of electronic devices
· Ability to complete and return documentation within agreed timescales
· Ability to update and maintain manual and computerised records relating to testing
electrical installations
· Solid all-around electrical experience in the kitchen, bathroom and general
electrical works.
· Ability to manage stock and supplies to ensure no delay in workflow
· Experience in coordinating the services of other trades and working with colleagues,
contractors and partners to ensure a seamless and excellent service to customers
· Ability to use computerised data recording equipment
· Experience in working with current Health and Safety requirements
· Ability to deliver value for money, identify efficiencies and gaps in service delivery;
communicate them to line management
· Able to discharge activities safely, managing risk at all times
· Demonstrable excellent communication skills
· Understand the needs of people from diverse social, cultural and racial backgrounds
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
· Enhanced DBS
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
