Description
We are looking for a Community Events Officer to play an essential part in delivering a more ambitious approach to resident and community engagement by leading in developing this programme. To support work to create a bold look of events and provide capacity-building to support community groups and organisers to help develop proposals where appropriate and manage the communication around community events:

Qualification – Essential
·         GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
·         Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
·         Knowledge of project management methodology
·         Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media and CRM

Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
·         Strong project management skills and experience
·         Experience in working across teams to deliver outcomes
·         Knowledge of building relationships with community groups
·         Experience in monitoring performance and evaluating outcomes
·         Ability to concurrently manage multiple projects to deadlines
·         Excellent verbal and written communications skills
·         Excellent project management and organisational skills
·         Ability to work under own initiative, taking responsibility and ownership for solving
          problems
·         Ability to gain confidence and trust from senior officers, members and other stakeholders
·         Ability to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders in a range of external
          organisations
·         High levels of political sensitivity and excellent judgement
·         Build networks and work with partners across the public, private and voluntary sectors,
          the community, and residents.
·         Ability to analyse and interpret information and translate it into practical actions
