Description
About the Role

Are you a highly organised administrator with experience in local authority housing? This is a great opportunity to join the Housing Complaints and Quality Assurance Team as a Business Support Officer in a busy, fast-moving service. You will play a key role in keeping complaints, Members' Enquiries, records, reports, meetings, and service information on track — helping the team deliver timely, accurate, and professional support to residents and internal stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Supporting housing complaints, Members' Enquiries, and quality assurance administration.
  • Tracking casework, deadlines, follow-up actions, and recommendations.
  • Maintaining accurate records, databases, logs, and filing systems.
  • Processing compensation awards and producing regular monitoring reports.
  • Collating performance data and preparing clear management information.
  • Arranging meetings, preparing papers, taking minutes, and following up actions.
  • Supporting process improvements, forms, guidance, and team procedures.
What We're Looking For

You'll need to be confident, organised, accurate, and able to work well under pressure. You should be comfortable handling sensitive information and communicating professionally with colleagues, managers, councillors, and stakeholders.

You'll Need
  • Previous local authority experience.
  • Good knowledge of housing services, ideally complaints or quality assurance.
  • Strong office administration experience.
  • Experience producing reports, statistics, or management information.
  • Confident Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, spreadsheets, and databases.
  • Excellent record-keeping and filing skills.
Key Skills
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong organisation and prioritisation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a busy service.
  • Confidential and professional approach.
  • Team-focused, proactive, and reliable.
Why Apply?

This is a short-term opportunity to make an immediate impact in a high-profile housing service. If you enjoy structured administration, fast-paced casework, and supporting services that directly affect residents, this could be the right role for you.
