We are recruiting an Occupational Therapy Assistant with extensive experience in assessing and providing a range of equipment, specialist seating, and expertise in assessing and prescribing minor and major adaptations. Must have up-to-date, practical experience in complex manual handling, including single-handed care techniques:
Responsibility
To provide virtual and face-to-face assessments of vulnerable residents to enable them to remain living as independently as possible at home:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C)or equivalent to include Maths and English
· Degree in Occupational Therapy
· Current HCPC registration
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Experience in the provision of minor and major adaptations
· Extensive experience in complex manual handling, including single-handed care
principles
· Good working knowledge of Care Act 2014
· Proven ability to undertake comprehensive assessments of need and risk and develop
plans accordingly
· Experience assessing and planning, initiating, monitoring, developing and providing
outcomes-driven services in Adult Social Care
· Experience in manual handling assessments and care planning
· Good verbal communication skills, communicating facts, reviews, ideas, and proposals to
others effectively and effectively
· Good understanding of providing a range of advice and support, including equipment,
adaptations, and moving & handling interventions to promote independence and meet
vulnerable service users' needs
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Five Years of Reference
· Enhanced CRB / DBS – Essential
· Current HCPC registration
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
