We have an opportunity for a Civil Enforcement Officer. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and has the commitment, passion and drive to join our enthusiastic team. You will help us deliver a high-quality service, providing outstanding customer care within a high-profile and vital service that supports the day-to-day activities of all residents, businesses and the thousands of daily visitors to the area. You will play a significant role in reducing traffic congestion and improving air quality by enforcing parking restrictions.

Responsibilities

You will play a key role in providing information and advice to the public. You will also carry out Parking and Traffic Enforcement through the issue of Penalty Charge Notices. You will identify and report vehicles for possible removal because they are parked in contravention of the relevant restrictions or abandoned.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • General Standard of Education
  • Basic –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Social Media.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements—Criteria to be Tested at Shortlisting (These are the criteria against which your application will be assessed during the initial shortlisting process).

  • Previous mobile enforcement via moped and who are also flexible with shift work.
  • Knowledge of parking legislation
  • Basic computer skills and accurate data entry
  • Ability to communicate over the Radio with Accuracy, Brevity, and Clarity using radio phonetic alphabet codes.
  • Previous experience working as a Civil Enforcement Officer
  • Experience working in a Customer Service Environment
  • Ability to work on own initiative 8. Clear handwriting and ability to compose concise, accurate reports
  • Ability to walk outside for an extended period covering a whole shift in all types of weather
  • conditions
  • Be able or willing to ride a moped or competent at riding a moped/motorcycle

  • 2 Years References
  • Enhanced DBS
