Description

We are recruiting a CCTV operations manager for our local government client in Northwest London. As a crucial part of the Public Safety Division Management Team, the CCTV Operations Manager will manage the service's day-to-day functions, ensuring the information and data resources meet the needs of customers and stakeholders. The post holder will provide staff and assets appropriately tasked with maximising the service's impact and demonstrating value for money.

Responsibility

Knowledge of CCTV in a local government context is desirable. Still, it is more important that the postholder has demonstrable experience as a people leader within the local government or public sector environment and extensive knowledge of working in partnership with various internal and external stakeholders. The post holder will have a "can do" and "think outside the box" attitude in problem-solving and driving continuous service improvement and should be used to working in a high-demand and dynamic environment, offering ample opportunities for personal and professional growth.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • Degree and equivalent experience in a similar role
  • Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements - Criteria-to be Tested at Shortlisting

  • Knowledge of Public Safety and major incident management.
  • Knowledge of readiness and preparedness to respond to significant events as a Category 1 responder outlined within the Civil Contingencies Act 2004.
  • Able to deliver effective and timely responses to critical incidents with partner organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience as a people leader within the local government or public sector environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of working in partnership with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have a "can do" and "think outside the box" attitude in problem-solving and driving continuous service improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to a range of audiences are essential.
  • You must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work outside of core office hours to suit operational business needs.
  • Experience working with a high degree of autonomy and robust arrangements to ensure the efficacy of the CCTV Operations Team.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel and Work.
  • Excellent negotiation and persuasion techniques, including solid presentation skills.
  • Demonstrable evidence of an ability to think and act strategically and operationally.
  • Knowledge and understanding of data collection and analysis.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management.
  • Experience in quality management systems.
  • Experience in Budget management.
