Description

We are recruiting a Business Support Officer for a Fostering Client in Uxbridge Middlesex. The role involves providing administrative support and assistance to the Fostering Team and establishing and maintaining effective links and professional relationships with colleagues, including Supervising Social Workers, Support Workers, Foster Carers, Panel Members and other agency services.

Responsibility

To undertake administrative processes involved in obtaining statutory checks and references, liaising with prospective carers, Form F Assessors and local authorities where necessary, and completing local authority checks for other authorities and agencies as requested; To support the organisation in organising training to foster carers and staff, booking rooms and refreshments, liaising with trainers, assisting with the preparation of paperwork, logging attendance and updating all relevant.

Qualification – Essential

  • GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
  • NVQ Level 3, BTEC Business, equivalent experience.
  • Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.

Essential - Skills, Abilities, & Experience

  • Excellent clerical and administrative experience compiling and maintaining manual and computerised records and administrative systems.
  • Solid experience gathering, collating, and analysing information from various sources.
  • Excellent coordination, planning meetings and other events, and administration of meetings, including providing an accurate summary record and action points.
  • Solid Interpersonal skills to deal appropriately with a wide range of people in various settings.
  • Able to take accurate minutes and records of meetings.
  • Knowledge of IT systems, including word processing, diary, management, database maintenance, scanning and copying, and the importance of accurate and timely data collection.
  • Excellent word processing skills and ability to compose letters and email correspondence on standard issues.
  • Ability to deal diplomatically and confidentially with a broader range of stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Resilience and ability to work with sensitive and sometimes challenging information.
  • Ability to work flexibly, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate flexibility and initiative in their work and take on new challenges and opportunities as they arise.
  • Good awareness of the Equal Opportunities Policy and Health and Safety at Work legislation.
  • Essential Compliance Requirements
  • Two Years of References.
  • Enhanced CRB/DBS Within Last 12 Months
  • A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
