Description
We are recruiting a Business Support Officer for a public sector client in East London. To provide responsive, professional, and timely administrative support and advice to services as directed, facilitating the effective conduct of the core business.
Responsibility
To implement and maintain efficient, cost-effective systems for administrative support, adhering to the
customer service performance standards and meeting the requirements of service level agreements in
all areas of the postholder's responsibility.
Qualification – Essential
- GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
- NVQ Level 3, BTEC Business, equivalent experience.
- Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
- Ability to provide efficient and effective administrative support.
- Excellent knowledge and application of IT systems and software packages.
- Excellent word processing skills and ability to compose letters and email correspondence on standard issues.
- Solid understanding of others' needs, timescales, and deadlines.
- Ability to deal diplomatically and confidentially with a broader range of stakeholders internally and externally.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, using problem-solving skills and initiative to provide a customer-focused support service.
- Resilience and ability to work with sensitive and sometimes challenging information.
- Ability to work flexibly, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in efficiently operating office systems.
- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Able to show flexibility and initiative.
Essential Compliance Requirements
- Two Years of References.
- Enhanced CRB/DBS Within Last 12 Months
- A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
