We are recruiting a Neighbourhood Housing Officer for a public sector client in Southwest London. The officer will provide proactive, customer-focused housing management across a designated area and ensure the legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders.
Responsibility
To act as a regular and visible presence on estates, taking action to make sure estates are safe and well maintained and providing advice, information, and reports on any housing management matter.
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English.
· NQF level 3 (e.g. A Level / BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3)
· or has equivalent demonstrable experience.
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and CRM.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Knowledge and understanding of housing, estate management, health, and safety issues
and how these impact residents' well-being and landlords' responsibilities.
· Knowledge of current legislation relevant to housing, tenancy and leasehold management,
safety, and estate management.
· Able to produce clear and well-structured written work which creates a positive impact on
the recipient(s)
· Solid experience providing a proactive customer-focused housing management service
across a designated area and ensuring it fulfils the legal and contractual obligations to
tenants and leaseholders.
· Able to act as a regular and visible presence on estates, taking action to make sure estates
are safe and well maintained and providing advice, information, and reports on any housing
management matter.
· Experience supporting the neighbourhood housing team in delivering the vulnerable
residents' offer.
· Able to act as a lead contact for the tenant and resident association in the neighbourhood.
· Able to attend external meetings, sometimes outside regular working hours, such as TRA
meetings and community events, may be required.
· Ability to work evenings and weekends as required by the job.
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of References.
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
