We are recruiting a multiskilled engineer with a plumbing bias to carry out building repairs, planned preventative maintenance, renewals, and replacements within a plumbing bias. The works will range from routine reactive repairs to scheduled maintenance / statutory testing and installation. Works are primarily schools and children’s centres but will include other ad hoc properties. All works must be carried out according to best trade practices, current standards, and regulations.:
Responsibility
To carry out work to a consistently high standard of quality and customer satisfaction and complete work ‘Right First Time’. Maintenance work requires an adaptable approach to deliver services to the service customers. The post-holder will be required to use their skill and judgement in diagnosing issues with compliance and building faults to determine the best solution to repair problems.
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English.
· City & Guilds / NVQ qualification or demonstrable time-served experience.
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Full DBS and ideally experience working in a school or commercial (non-domestic)
environment.
· Repairs, problems, and maintenance for plumbing-based assets, including TMV servicing,
taking tap temperatures, changing sanitary ware, etc.
· Experience with handheld technology.
· Experience in repairs, problem-solving and maintenance for plumbing-based assets,
including TMVs, pumps, general water systems, etc.
· Understanding of L8 legislation and maintenance and testing requirements.
· Full driving license.
· Have experience in Water hygiene.
· Good customer service skills.
· Flexible and proactive.
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of References.
· Enhanced DBS- essential
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
