We are recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to provide expert and timely structural engineering services across Housing stock to protect assets and ensure buildings are safe and comply with Health and Safety regulations. Assisting in carrying out the recommended remedial works in the structural engineer’s reports. Assist Legal Team as required in defending the interests in litigation cases, etc.:
Responsibility
To commission structural surveys in response to requests made by teams within Resident Services, including Responsive Repairs, Income Maximisation, Capital Works, and Disrepair. Contract managing urgent structural repairs schemes to comply with H&S Regulations and Court Orders from inception to completion.
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English.
· Holds degree level qualification or has equivalent substantial demonstrable experience at a
managerial level.
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, social media, PM and
& Cad Software packages.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Substantial knowledge in structural analysis, design, Geotechnical & Foundation
Engineering.
· Have sound knowledge of structural defects in low- & high-rise buildings.
· Sound knowledge of contracts, contract administration, CDM, Building Regulations and
Party wall Matters.
· Able to diagnose structural defects in low- & high-rise buildings and write
complex reports in an easy-to-read and understood manner.
· Experience in effectively managing consultants who produce specifications for schemes.
· Experience in achieving the best value through procurements.
. Able to write briefs for structural and Party wall consultant appointments and effectively
manage them to produce structural reports and Party wall awards.
· Communicating in writing clearly and succinctly, conveying critical information effectively
and creating a positive impact.
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of References.
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
