Description
We are recruiting an Office Distribution Manager for a family-run Railway Safety business established in 1980. The company designs and manufactures Railway Safety Equipment in the UK for worldwide distribution. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and moral compass who can communicate with people at all levels and is friendly but professional. Able to integrate within a family business, a good sense of humour, self-motivation, can-do, proactive, committed for the long term, and willing to take more responsibility and confident enough to deputise for senior managers.
Qualification – Essential
·        GCSEs or equivalent to include Maths and English.
·        NVQ level business and finance or relevant experience.
·        Working knowledge of the SAGE 50 Accounts Professional is essential.
·        Advanced user – Sage and Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook.
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
·        Knowledge of the Sage Accounting package to compile quotations is an advantage – In-
         house training is provided.
·        Good experience dealing with international shipping documents.
·        Knowledge of booking internal couriers.
·        Knowledge of packing and loading orders for domestic and international shipment – must be
         Physically fit and able to pack and carry parcels.
·        Solid time management skills with a good understanding of logistics.
·        Able to occasionally drop off and pick up components and orders for shipment.
·        Ability to deal effectively with customer enquiries at all levels and follow through to
         resolution.
·        Ability to communicate effectively in writing, phone, email and face-to-face to a broad
         audience.
·        Experience in administrative work or similar office environments dealing with
         correspondence, filing, preparing documents, and using IT systems.
·        Ability to manage a demanding workload and prioritise tasks to achieve performance
         targets.
·        Clean UK driving licence and experience driving transit-size vehicles.
Essential Compliance Requirements
·        Three Years of Reference
·        A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
