Description
Our Public Sector client in East London is recruiting a Housing Disrepair Caseworker – to manage an individual caseload consisting of live disrepair claims and referrals from repair teams:
Responsibility
To deal with all aspects of cases received by the team effectively and efficiently. To carry out essential repairs, avoid liability from legal disrepair action and ensure claims are effectively mitigated.
Qualification – Essential
·        GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics
·        Relevant professional level qualification.
·        Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
Skills, Abilities, & Experience – Essential
·        Ability to effectively manage a technical caseload within target deadlines.
·        Experience writing and preparing specifications for repairs, maintenance work, significant
         repairs, and planned maintenance contracts.
·        Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing to a wide range of people.
·        Ability to prepare and certify interim and final payments to contractors.
·        Ability to attend court/tribunals and present evidence as an expert witness.
·        Knowledge of Legal legislation in Housing disrepair and ability to interpret legislation.
·        Ability to organise own workload to meet targets & deadlines.
·        Experience in the building industry codes of practice, measured terms and building contract
         forms.
·        Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, in writing and face-to-face in small and large
         meetings.
·        Good attention to detail.
·        Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
·        Ability to administer contracts and supervise work in progress.
·        Ability to deputise in repair cases meetings with contractor/partner liaison partners.
Essential Compliance Requirements
·        3 Years References.
·        Enhanced DBS.
·        Available for immediate start.
·        A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
