- Our Public Sector client in Southeast London is recruiting a Senior Admin Officer – To provide bespoke packages of practical support to foster carers, young people, and families in the community to maximise placement viability and stability, prevent placement breakdown and retain foster carers:
Responsibility
Responsible for coordinating, responding to, and managing house foster care requests from Social Workers and for liaison with Access to Resources Team:
Qualification – Essential
GCSEs including English & Maths
NVQ Level 3, BTEC Business, Health and Social Care, or equivalent experience.
Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
· Knowledge of the placement needs for looking after children.
· A strong interest in promoting permanence and placement stability.
· Knowledge of safeguarding procedures, critical fostering and residential legislation,
guidance, and National Minimum Standards.
· Knowledge of roles and responsibilities of critical children's agencies.
· Experience developing and managing information systems and using data to monitor, track
and evaluate performance.
· Experience working with foster carers and a commitment to achieving placement stability
through developing placement support services.
· Experience interpreting performance data from a complex database to ensure sound
strategic service management.
· Experience using your initiative, organising your workloads, determining priorities and
meeting deadlines.
· Experience in financial and resource management within a social care environment.
· Ability to record, analyse and interpret & explain data with a focus and drive on positive
outcomes for children.
· Ability to motivate and deal effectively with any performance issues.
· Ability to apply and work within national and local policies and procedures for fostering and
ensuring financial accountability and transparency.
· Able to be solution-focused and to work within a systemic framework.
· Ability to delegate and negotiate where necessary.
· Ability to manage change effectively.
