- Our Public Sector client in North London is recruiting a Children's Centre Administrator – To be responsible to the Head of the Nursery and Executive Head for providing adequate confidential administrative and financial support to ensure the smooth running of the Children's Centre service:
Responsibility
To use and maintain the computer packages provided for inputting data and extracting information and be responsible for preparing and delivering monitoring, statistical information, and regular reports as required by centre management, EYSMT and under terms and conditions. To be responsible for maintaining confidential children's/families' records concerning admissions and charging, both electronic and paper files:
Qualification – Essential
GCSEs including English & Maths
NVQ Level 3, BTEC Business & Finance or equivalent experience.
Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media, and CRM.
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
· Three years of administrative experience with minimal supervision.
· Experience in providing administrative support to a team of managers/staff.
· Two years' advanced experience in using Windows-based IT and bespoke databases.
· Sound knowledge and well-developed skills in using ICT, particularly the operation of word
processing, database, and spreadsheet programs.
· Ability to work on one's initiative and organise one's workload without direct supervision.
· Ability to type 55 wpm. A typing test will be given)
· Ability to record minutes and provide administrative support at meetings.
· Ability to acquire a working knowledge of the centre's accounting procedures.
· Ability to communicate effectively in writing, on the telephone and face-to-face.
· Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with various people.
· Ability to monitor budgets and record expenditures.
· Ability to prioritise to meet deadlines while working under pressure.
· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all matters.
· Ability to complete statistical returns.
· Ability to work to high standards of customer care.
· Ability to pass a literacy test covering spelling and grammar.
· Ability to supervise and train staff within the framework of the Equal Opportunities policy.
· Displays an awareness, understanding and commitment to protecting and safeguarding
children and young people.
· Ability to adhere to the Dignity for All policy.
