- Our client in North West London is recruiting a Business Support Officer– To deliver comprehensive and flexible administrative and technical support activities to Family Services that help maximise the working potential of Heads of Service and Social Work teams. To act as change agents to support and encourage practitioners to adopt new ways of working to enable flexible working:
Responsibility
Provide a comprehensive minute-taking service, ensuring that an accurate record of Group Supervision, Strategy Meetings and SEAM Strategy meetings is completed promptly and the information is recorded in the child’s record in LCS, Data input, record keeping of children’s records, Other administrative duties related to Family Services:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE including English & maths
· Degree level or equivalent, e.g., NVQ level 4 &/or relevant experience
· Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
· Knowledge of a broad range of Local government roles and functions.
· Experience supporting finance processes for Care leavers, e.g., raising commitment forms.
· Experience in producing accurate and detailed minutes of complex meetings to deadlines.
· Evidence of practical business support competencies across various activities, such as
minute-taking, drafting correspondence, data management, telephone communication etc.
· Proven competency to handle confidential/sensitive personal information appropriately and
securely.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Successful record of high-quality delivery in a demanding environment.
· Successful experience and knowledge of working within a local authority or in an
equivalent organisation/environment
· Experience in promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children, ensuring this principle,
culture and practice are embedded across the team and in all business processes and
communications, in compliance with national and local procedures and protocols.
· Ensure that all personal data is handled securely and strictly with the data protection
legislation, Family Services, and data management protocols.
· Competent and confident in the use of standard Microsoft Office products such as Word,
Excel, and PowerPoint
· Office-based three days per week with some working from home that can be agreed upon.
