- Our client in South East London is recruiting a Senior Business Support Officer– To deliver a wide range of routine and more complex administrative tasks within the corporate business support service to support the effective and efficient delivery of services. Provide ongoing support and guidance to Business Support Officers:
Responsibility
Support, guide and mentor Business Support Officers on all aspects of the work; organise and support the delivery of events and training courses (including booking venues or catering and arranging travel/accommodation); Organise staff visits, meetings and case conferences (including preparing papers and inviting attendees):
Qualification – Essential
· GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE including English & maths
· NVQ Business Administration Level 3, BTEC or equivalent
· Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
· Excellent understanding of the organisation, management and control of administration,
business support and customer contact processes.
· Demonstrable experience in providing a high-quality and comprehensive executive service,
delivering core business processes to agreed performance standards.
· Knowledge of one or more core services supported by the relevant business support hub.
· Knowledge of the requirements for handling sensitive data and information, particularly with
the Data Protection Act of 1998.
· Experience working in a pressurised environment, prioritising and organising conflicting
workloads.
· Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public face to face, by telephone and via web
enquiries.
· Experience in mentoring, guiding and training other staff daily.
· Working knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
· Ability to effectively develop and implement various administrative, business support and
customer contact processes.
· Ability to research information and produce accurate management information in various
formats.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision, planning and organising a varied workload within a
changing environment to meet tight daily deadlines.
· Able to maintain discretion with dealing with confidential information.
· Highly developed customer care skills, including an ability to deal sensitively with a wide
range of customers and maintain good relationships with internal or external partners (within
the public, private and voluntary sectors)
· Experience in liaising effectively with both statutory and non-statutory agencies.
· Able to attend meetings in the evenings, work outside regular office hours and work beyond
minimum hours when required to achieve deadlines
