- Our client in NorthLondon is recruiting a Rapid Assessment & Resettlement Practitioner– To welcome street homeless clients and those threatened with homelessness into a homeless temporary accommodation. To link into relevant support services and specialists and create a pathway into longer-term Housing, such as the private sector:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE including English & maths
· Good level of education or equivalent experience
· Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
· Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
· Ability to assess, design, plan, and implement Resettlement and Personal Housing Plans.
· Ability to ensure all aspects of casework is carried out following relevant legislation,
strategies, policies and initiatives set.
· Ability to establish, develop and sustain effective working relationships with service users
and partners.
· Have a care, homelessness experience and sustaining tenancies experience ideally.
· Good knowledge of welfare, housing and homelessness policy, strategies, legislation, and
case law and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service,
· Experience in working in onsite temporary accommodation.
· Ability to ensure service users’ documentation is relevant and updated and that data is
accurately entered into the various IT systems.
· Good knowledge of Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Social Care and Equality policies and
strategies
· Ability to constantly achieve performance targets and objectives.
· Experience in working with and assisting people who have experienced street
homelessness.
· Experience working collaboratively to develop and deliver Resettlement and Personal
Housing Plans.
· Experience in shift work, including nights and weekends.
· Ability to contribute to developing and managing the more comprehensive Housing Advisory
Service and Sustainable Housing Service and effectively delivering Housing and
Homelessness Strategies and Policies.
· Ability to identify and secure additional resources to deliver the team’s objective and the
broader services.
· Able to work evening shifts varied between 4 pm and 2 am. Weekend work also.
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
· Valid DBS
· Available for immediate start
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
