- Our client in the West Midlands is recruiting a Business Support Officer – To proactively and independently support Social Work and other staff, ensuring processes are maintained in a timely and accurate way, that solutions to issues are made in line with delegated authority and aligned with the policy so that the best outcomes are achieved for Children Young People and Families:
Responsibilities:
Responsible for administration and routine management of a range of efficient administrative processes and procedures to support the operation of the service area, ensuring accuracy and timely outcomes:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSE/O Level, 5 GCSE including English & maths
· To have a broad range of practical & procedural knowledge of office administration or
hold a relevant qualification such as NVQ level 2 or equivalent
· Advanced – Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and CRM.
Skills, Abilities & Experience – Essential
· Experience managing several conflicting priorities, the ability to organise workload and
decide priorities.
· The ability to independently interpret and analyse information and facts to solve varied
problems
· The ability to communicate complicated or sensitive information with varied audiences in
person and in writing.
· Experience working for local government, a Children’s services-related sector, or a similar
environment.
· The ability to use the keyboard with precision and speed-45WPM
· The ability to organise, support and record meetings appropriately.
· Experience in handling and processing manual or computerised information accurately.
· The ability to use initiative to respond independently to complex problems and unexpected
situations.
· The ability to work under pressure, including meeting deadlines and dealing with
interruptions.
· The ability to cope with situations where an emotional demand arises from the work.
· The ability to resolve internal/external issues and provide a solution-focused response.
· The ability to manage a process, ensuring accurate and timely outputs.
· The ability to account for or be accountable for financial resources – budget monitoring/reporting.
Essential Compliance Requirements
