Description
We are recruiting an Accommodation Placements Adviser; - to work in partnership with stakeholders to complete the letting process within set timescales, ensuring the effective and efficient running of the choice-based lettings system. The successful candidates will be responsible for providing timely, comprehensive and customer-focused service to applicants requiring social housing.
Qualification:
·        GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
·        Housing qualification or on-the-job experience working as an accommodation officer 
·        Advanced user –Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, social media, and CRM:
Essential – Skills & Experience
·        To be considered for this vacancy, the successful candidates will have at least one year’s
         experience working within a Housing Allocations service.
·        Relevant experience working in a housing environment within the public sector.
·        Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, together with in-depth knowledge of
         various IT systems.
·        Experience in maintaining a housing database.
·        Direct experience working within the community and effectively interacting with other
         agencies to solve problems and disputes.
·        Able to demonstrate the ability to listen and question to ascertain the customer’s needs.
·        Working knowledge and previous demonstrable experience renting homes in a social
         housing environment.
·        Organised and able to work flexibly and independently under varying pressures to meet
         goals and objectives.
·        Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with colleagues within and beyond the team to
         ensure customers receive the best overall service.
·        Experienced with housing IT systems; including Home Connections and Northgate
·        Detailed working knowledge of Housing Act 1996 Parts VI and VII
EssentialCompliance Requirements
·        Able to provide three years of references – essential
·        A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
