To provide practical advice and support to tenants/Licencees, shared owners, leaseholders and signposting on a wide range of issues, ensuring that enforcement action is a last resort, aim to help residents sustain their tenancy and avoid homelessness:
Responsibility
The role requires intense listening and self-resiliency skills as it involves dealing with challenging customers in difficult circumstances and managing the expectations of the wider community and other stakeholders:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· BTEC National Diploma, NVQ level 3) or has equivalent demonstrable experience
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams,
Social media and CRM:
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Knowledge of housing legislation, an understanding of Landlord and Tenant law and other
legal requirements relevant to managing homes and neighbourhoods.
· Knowledge of Computerised Housing Management System
· Knowledge of various tenancy types, rights and obligations, enforcement options, anti-social
behaviour legislation, and related policies.
· Experience working largely autonomously to manage workload and prioritise on-site and
office tasks.
· Working knowledge in estates and property maintenance, acceptable condition, and that
repairs are reported.
· Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing, with a wide range of
people, including Councillors, contractors and other agencies
· Demonstrate the ability to be solution-focused, taking responsibility and action to promote
excellent customer service, with a ‘Can Do’ attitude
· Highly self-motivated with the ability to plan work effectively without high levels of
supervision
· Ability to work ‘on the go using mobile technology.
· Ability to facilitate online customer engagement activities
· Knowledge of maintaining information management and effective admin systems
· Demonstrate a working understanding of housing management practices and good
experience in delivering housing services to vulnerable people and minority groups
· General administration tasks – typing, answering the telephone as the first point of contact
