We are recruiting a Customer Service officer: - To deal professionally and sympathetically with all customers via telephone and those visiting our offices. To provide an efficient and effective front-end reception and telephone service following organisational policies, procedures, strategies, and service plans: Take ownership of issues, deal with enquiries and provide a response within the agreed timescales:
Responsibility
To be a point of contact for members of the public and deliver a high-quality customer advisory service to both internal and external customers, ensuring the customer experience is a positive one:
Qualification – Essential
·         Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
·         NVQ Business Administration Level 3, BTEC or equivalent
·         knowledge of Northgate IT Systems
·         Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media:
Critical - Skills, Abilities & Experience
·         Working knowledge of information technology and processing skills, including the use of
          e-mail.
·         Ability to communicate with people in a friendly and courteous manner in person and
          over the telephone, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with
          colleagues and external parties.
·         Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team)
·         Excellent literacy and numeracy skills and experience with statistical data and
          information.
·         Written work will include letters to customers, carers and fellow professionals, e-mails to
          colleagues, reports conveying complex information and seeking decisions.
·         At least one year's admin experience in a busy, customer service-focused office
          environment, with frequent direct contact with customers
·         Experience and knowledge of Northgate IT Systems
·         Experience in dealing with the public or working in a customer focussed service-driven
          environment.
·         A good standard of general education, including sound, applied literacy and numeracy
          skills.
Essential Compliance Requirements
·         Three Years of Reference
·         A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
