We are recruiting a Town Centre Manager: - To be responsible for town centre management, coordinating public services, influencing strategic development, engaging residents, the business community, and local partnerships, and promoting planned regeneration and future prosperity:
Responsibility
To input town centre knowledge and intelligence into the development policies and strategies, including the Core Strategy and regeneration master plan. To coordinate external funding bids for town centre and neighbourhood shopping initiatives:
Qualification – Essential
· Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
· Hold a degree or Diploma qualification or experience.
· Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media:
Critical - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Significant experience in neighbourhood shopping areas, monitoring and coordinating the
delivery of public services to ensure high-quality outcomes
· Experience in ensuring cohesive and sustainable social, economic and environmental
outcomes that meet the needs of residents, visitors and businesses.
· Experience in monitoring the physical environment and public realm, working with
relevant agencies and services to improve standards and outcomes.
· Experience in developing marketing and publicity programmes and organising events
and activities in liaison with corporate teams.
· Able to lead on appropriate town centre projects and manage up to 3 staff and
consultants.
· Able to develop and support regular one-off events and activities that raise the town
centre's profile and encourage repeat visits.
· Knowledge of acting as a critical point of contact for enquiries relating to the use of town
centre spaces
· Experience working in partnership with the Police, community safety and enforcement
colleagues to promote actions to safeguard.
· Able to initiate, develop and lead consultation and engagement exercises with residents,
businesses, and the voluntary / community sector.
· Able to collect, maintain, evaluate, and report on information relating to the health and
vitality of town centres, recommending action to address issues raised.
· Knowledge of monitoring relevant town centre and project budgets
· Knowledge in Preparing bids to maximise external funding and income to support the
town centre objectives.
· Willing to work flexibly, including weekend and evening hours as appropriate.
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
