We are recruiting a Senior Asset Investment Manager: - To develop and manage the delivery of the acquisitions and disposal programme: to maximise the potential of the acquisitions programme and drive change by compiling and delivering successful policy changes through Cabinet Member Reports etc.:-
Responsibility
To develop and manage the delivery of the multimillion-pound disposals and acquisition programme by liaising with key stakeholders to ensure set targets are achieved. To create bespoke strategies incorporating listed status, covenant limitations and broader regeneration objectives:
Qualification – Essential
· Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
· Degree – or equivalent qualification from an asset management-related background, e.g.,
surveying (or similar) Membership of a relevant professional organisation or equivalent
experience
· Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media:
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Substantial experience working in a housing, surveying, or project management
environment
· Significant experience managing a team of technical professionals in valuation, social
housing, and law
· Involvement in buying and selling properties for a private landlord or social housing
provider in London
· Experience in the condition survey assessment of residential property dealing with either
repairs or improvements in either public or private, professional offices
· Experience in producing reports and making investment recommendations to improve a
Capital programme based on regulatory or policy requirements, technical needs, and
best value
· Experience in procuring and managing suppliers to ensure a collaborative working
relationship
· Knowledge in assuring and analysing technical information systems
· Evidence of effective customer engagement
· Experience in people leadership, proactive decision-making, and political sensitivity
· Understanding of sustainability, overall objectives and as a criterion for purchasing new
properties
· Thorough understanding of investment appraisal techniques regarding residential
property transactions in London
· Understanding relevant law and technical processes to identify, purchase and sell
housing stock
· Robust financial management of budgets and sound knowledge of procurement
principles
· Able to question proposals and to ensure they evidence value for money, solid
commercial insight, and contractual knowledge
· Knowledge of the issues facing local government and those relevant to service
· Able to innovate and identify opportunities to enhance the value
· Advanced IT, with a working knowledge of spreadsheets and integrated databases
· Astute financial acumen
· Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
