We are recruiting a Procurement Support Officer: - To provide the critical support tasks which will assist in the effective delivery of the Strategic Procurement Service. To be the welcoming response to clients and contractors, signposting them to the correct area of the Strategic Procurement Service. To proactively engage with team members and ensure relevant documentation is accurately maintained:
Responsibility
To be responsible for the accuracy and completeness of data. To report all procurements' volume and value publicly. Manage total expenditure, measure performance savings, and record approved exceptions to standard process and non-compliant activities:
Qualification – Essential
· Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
· Education to degree level or equivalent or has equivalent demonstrable experience
· Studying the CIPS Advanced Certificate
· Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Social Media:
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Experience gathering tender and all other information necessary to assist the
Procurement Managers, Procurement Support Managers and Strategic Procurement
Officer/s.
· Experience managing and maintaining information on tender invitations and awarded
contracts within appropriate filing systems
· Able to assist in the preparation of contracts and monitoring of contractor performance
· Able to provide advice to officers on specifying and procuring quality works and services
following the Contract Standing Orders
· Able to assist colleagues and officers in the production of tender documents and
statutory notices
· Able to comply with all Audit requirements and ensure that all procurement activities are
documented in a clear, auditable and transparent manner
· Solid experience in maintaining computer databases, procurement systems, and
spreadsheets and providing reports when required
· Experience in answering telephone queries, complaints and correspondence from the
public, employers, staff, other sections and organisations in line with policy and
procedures
· Experience in managing the incoming emails on the shared mailboxes, ensuring
professional and timely responses
· Diary management experience, arranging of meetings and training courses, agendas,
venues/rooms
· Experience in conducting research required by the Strategic Procurement Service
· Able to take notes and minute-taking during meetings.
· Willing to work out of the office to visit schools, partner organisations and other offices
during their work,

· Three Years of Reference
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
