We are recruiting a Community Safety Coordinator to support the Safety team in providing policy advice and guidance to portfolio holders for public protection and safety and critical stakeholders:
Responsibility
To support the community safety partnership's statutory work and priorities for reducing crime and disorder. Support and manage the work of the CCTV team, anti-social behaviour (ASB) co-ordinator, and community safety officers:
Qualification – Essential
· 3 GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· Degree Level qualification or experience in a similar role
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, CCTV System and Sentinel-CRM:
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Deep knowledge of CCTV operation and alarm, technology and processes
· Knowledge of building consensus between partners at various levels within the
community
· Experience in assisting community groups and partnerships in tackling criminal and anti-
social behaviour
· Ability to Manage, monitor and undertake as necessary the Community Trigger work on
behalf of the CSP
· Experience in monitoring the result of the Partnership through the Sentinel back office
system
· Experience in undertaking and lead on ASB legal actions, as necessary
· Experience in liaison with Safer Neighbourhood Panels, Cluster Panels, Police Safer
Neighbourhood Teams and interested stakeholders
· Experience in providing a problem-solving approach to crime and disorder
· Experience in presentation, including proficiency in chairing meetings
· CRB/DBS check to work within the Regeneration, Public Protection and Street
Management team
· Experience in building consensus between different partners at varying levels
· Knowledge of ASB legislation (i.e., Crime and Disorder Act 1998, ASB Act 2003, Violent
Crime Reduction Act 2006)
· Ability to communicate and demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
in a range of forums
· Flexibility and ability to work unsocial hours, including evenings and weekends
· Experience in performance management and evidence of using management information
to deliver planned outcomes in a team and individual basis.

· DBS - Enhanced
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
