We are recruiting a Service Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day management of 31 self-contained accommodation units for single adults affected by rough sleeping.
Responsibility
To be responsible for providing support, training and supervision to a Deputy Manager and a team of Project Workers to develop a high-performing service with a shared vision and approach. To manage staff rotas that ensure the provision of 24/7 service:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership qualification or
· Relevant professional-level qualification
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Social Media, and CRM
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Personal experience or understanding of the issues affecting vulnerable homeless
people or those at risk of homelessness
· Day-to-day management and supervision of staff
· Ability to competently assess and manage risk appropriately
· An ability to work proactively and respectfully to reduce distress and conflict whilst
maintaining boundaries and consistency in complex and challenging situations
· The ability to quickly understand numerical information and carry out financial tasks
accurately. e.g. understanding rent and service charge statements, interpreting the
outcome data
· Understanding of the importance of health and safety and fire safety and a willingness
and ability to carry out health and safety tasks regularly and reliably
· Undertake self-learning and team-based development opportunities to inform practice
continuously
· Knowledge and commitment to co-production and service user involvement in the design
and operation of services
· Knowledge and understanding of best practices within the sector, including Trauma
Informed and Psychologically Informed Approaches
· Knowledge of design and development of service delivery or approaches to achieving
identified outcomes for staff and clients
· Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate effectively using
telephone, face-to-face, written and electronic methods.
· Knowledge and experience in using IT (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel)
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
· DBS - Enhanced
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
