We are recruiting a Business Support Officer to provide comprehensive and professional administrative support to Children and Families, ensuring that systems meet procedural requirements and that work undertaken is produced to a consistently high standard:
Responsibility
To be accountable to managers for maintaining the work undertaken by Children and Families service;
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· NVQ Level Business Admin qualification or relevant experience
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media, MS Teams
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Significant experience working in a business support capacity providing a wide range of
administrative support
· Ability to type at a speed of 60 wpm minimum
· Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information, so adhering to GDPR is
crucial
· Ability to attend and minute Core Group meetings
· Experience in handling sensitive children's records using Excel spreadsheet
· Ability to accurately maintain, monitor and update Excel spreadsheets
· Ability to respond to emails and telephone queries swiftly and sensitively and liaise with
other departments to provide streamlined support for the service
· Excellent customer service experience and the ability to liaise with multi-agency
professionals both internally and externally, service users and colleagues in a confidential
and sensitive manner
· Ability to work well under pressure and in situations that may become challenging
· Experience and knowledge in Children's Social Care and Data Protection
· Ability to raise purchase orders (paper and electronic), ensuring authorisation by the
appropriate manager
· Experience in Microsoft Office packages, Liquid Logic and any other CRM databases
employed by the business
· Ability to use initiative, be self-motivated, and work as part of a team
· Ability to work flexibly to meet competing needs and demands
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing to a wide range of people
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
· DBS - Enhanced
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
