We are recruiting a Project Support Officer to support the business delivery of the Homes for Ukraine scheme, undertaking specific tasks and actions to ensure the smooth implementation of the programme, helping the business to deliver a high-quality service to both sponsor and guests:
Responsibility
To work and partner with external agencies, helping to coordinate local support through networking, meetings and events. Responsible for logging and assigning projects, including complaints and enquiries to managers and officers. Carrying out quality checks on responses to ensure customers are provided with an adequate response:
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C) or equivalent to include Maths and English
· Degree level or equivalent experience (preferably in a relevant discipline)
· PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent PM qualification
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Demonstrate the tools and techniques of effective project delivery
· Solid experience working in a matrix organisation deploying several projects to meet
service needs
· Knowledge of the practical project management methodology
· Experience in research training
· Knowledge in the day-to-day management of the database, identifying and raising issues
when necessary
· Experience in representing the department at internal or external meetings and liaising
with other authorities, agencies, units, service providers, government representatives,
traders, customers and others
· Demonstrate the ability to support the team in delivering the business implementation of
the Homes for Ukraine scheme
· Experience in developing an understanding of the datasets and contributing to updating
them weekly
· Able to take responsibility for the delivery of assigned tasks
· Able to champion and advocate continuous improvement, coach, mentor and develop
colleagues to help build expertise
· Experience in contributing to the reporting of information to the broader team and senior
management
· Experience in leading on Health & Safety in the workplace, identifying, acting upon and
escalating any risks
· Experience in operating effectively in an environment of constant change
· Demonstrate a commitment to core values and the values of the unit
· Able to positively contribute to the development of the team
· Ability to communicate effectively both orally & in writing to a wide range of people
· Hybrid, however, we will require you to travel to the officer fortnightly on a Wednesday
Essential Compliance Requirements
· Three Years of Reference
· DBS - Enhanced
· A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role
