We are recruiting a Project Manager to support, develop and implement projects and programmes of work derived from the acquisition of Section 106 (S106) monies; that have definite outcomes, time limits, multi-disciplinary teams, and having to stay within a budget while working in an agile manner, managing assigned project
Responsibility
The post holder will be responsible for developing partnership working, budget management, writing briefs, tenders, specifications and pricing schedules, using and populating industry standard contracts (NEC/ICE), risk management, and customer care.
Qualification – Essential
· GCSEs (A-C)or equivalent to include Maths and English
· Degree or relevance experience
· PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Scrum,
· Advanced user –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Social Media
Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
· Ability to manage the assigned projects, lead the project team, allocate and monitor
tasks, motivate staff and appraise individual performance.
· Ability to take responsibility for the definition, documentation and successful project
completion
· Able to ensure that internal and external stakeholder requirements are captured to
develop the service design
· Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills and the ability to manage a
demanding workload
· Experience in traffic management, safety and engineering schemes
· Ability to plan, design and supervise the construction of varied types and aspects of
traffic management, safety and engineering projects, such as highways.
· Experience in improvements and sustainable transport initiatives, for example, traffic
regulation orders, junction improvements, footways, cycleways, and safer routes to
school.
· Experience delivering educational infrastructure improvements and facilities, including
special educational needs provision.
· Ability to conduct Initial consultation/liaison with local members/parish councils/schools
· Experience in leading the planning and design of the Programme and proactively
monitoring its overall progress through the collaboration of the project and Programme
highlight reports
· Experience in project management of the Flood, Sports, Public Realm and all other
schemes categories from development
· Experience in following the IT project lifecycle processes, producing appropriate
documentation and sharing lessons learnt
· Ability to champion and advocate continuous improvement, coach, mentor and develop
colleagues to help build expertise
· Ability to identify dependence on broader IT resources (UX, Architects, Developers etc.)
and work with Senior Project Manager to secure these, ensuring recharge arrangements
are in place.
· Ability to liaison and coordinate with the successful bidder for professional services to
Managed the Section 106 programmes of works, including leading the tender
development, contract development, evaluation, award, management of contracts
(consultants, designers, contractors), etc., for Highways, Education and Off-Site Play
Programmes
